READY TO GO?
You are all ready, set and packed? Here is how you get to your holiday destination in the Tyrolean mountains.
Directions to Chalet Obergurgl
Obergurgl is one of the last towns at the end of Ötztal Valley. Driving through the valley, you will be amazed by the stunning mountain scenery of the Alps. State-of-the-art infrastructure ensures easy access to the valley even in winter.
In snowy conditions, snow chains may be required for all vehicles (except 4WD) between the towns of Zwieselstein and Obergurgl.
All vehicles are required to have winter tyres in Austria from 1 November to 15 April.
A toll sticker (Autobahn-Vignette) is required for motorways. Maximum speed on motorways is 130 km/h.
No toll sticker is required if you choose to take Fernpass mountain pass. Don't follow your GPS if it wants you to use the motorway close to the town of Imst. Remain on the same road – it is free and as fast as using the motorway.
Flying over Innsbruck is a breathtaking experience. After you arrive at Innsbruck airport, take a bus, rental car or our VIP shuttle (upon request) to get to Chalet Obergurgl.
