About a luxury not everybody can have
A cup of coffee, bread with honey, fresh butter from a mountain farm and breath-taking views. Too rarely do we take time for an extended breakfast. I, for one, certainly should do that more often. But every once in a while, I make time for a delicious breakfast, treating myself to a truly unique experience in the mountains.

Hohe Mut mountain hut treats us to a very special start to the day. We meet at 7.30 am at the bottom station and take the cable car up. After charging our batteries with a delicious traditional breakfast, we can start our glacier hike together with a local guide who knows the Ötztal mountains and glaciers like the back of his hand and can share some insider stories from the region. The breakfast takes about two hours, the glacier hike another five.
